Grandma's Love, Inc. is committed to combating childhood hunger in communities throughout New York City, especially in low income and at-risk neighborhoods.
Grandma’s Love strives to mobilize communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children and their families who might otherwise go hungry. We ensure children at-risk of hunger are provided with enough food and books to grow into healthy, happy and active children emotionally, physically and educationally.
The grant will enable us to provide additional fresh foods to our families that we would not normally be able to provide for the entire school year. We at Grandma's Love are very excited because we know the families will be so grateful to be able to receive some of the items they have been requesting. This will be a wonderful school year for our children and their families.
