Navigate the Maze to Achievement (NTMA) used the grant to pay for this year’s summer
session of test prep for the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) for our
second cohort. CASPrep charged NTMA $7,800.
NMTA prepares academically gifted black students for the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) and supports the students socially and academically while in high school. Students work on verbal skills, math problem-solving and test-taking strategies. Classes are held on Saturdays during the school year and for a six week summer “boot camp” which includes academics followed by mentoring sessions, community service and social activities.
WellMet’s $7,500 will be used for teachers and tutors for the 2018-19 school year.
