Center for Advancement and Integration of New Americans (CIANA)

Serving new immigrants from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia

Please know how grateful we are at CIANA for WellMet’s generosity, and for thinking of us in these very difficult times facing our immigrant families and children.

The Center for the Integration and Advancement of New Americans (CIANA), is a not-for-profit social services agency that serves new immigrants in New York City. We specialize in providing an array of culturally competent and language appropriate services that address the growing marginalization of new immigrants, with a focus on newcomers from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, who were highly impacted by the post-9/11 backlash against Arab and Muslim immigrants.

More recently, CIANA’s immigrant integration model has expanded to include an increasing number of new immigrants from Latin America and other countries seeking our holistic and family-centered services. New immigrants are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available to them, to take pride in their cultural heritage, and to blend the best of their ethnic identity with that of their new country.
