New York Center for Autism

Founded to address the needs of autistic children and their families. WellMet grant was made to support research into the nature of autism.

In 2016, the organization had grown from 4 initiatl students to 32 students who stay in the program until age 21. Every student has piano lessons and there is now access to a basketball program. Older students participate in volunteer projects (e.g., packing meals at a senior center), thus helping them learn life skills.
