The Brave House

Providing legal support, holistic services and community for young immigrant women

The WellMet grant is empowering us to be a hub for the legal, social-emotional, and educational needs of our community of young immigrant women in NYC. Thank you WellMet for furthering our mission of spreading love and protecting human rights.

The Brave House supports immigrant girls and young women, ages 16-24, with a focus on those who are survivors of gender-based violence. The Brave House provides free legal support, community space and holistic services including English lessons, art therapy, self-defense classes, meditation, yoga and dance, career advising, college visits, a mentorship program and more. The Brave House is part of the Urban Justice Center's Social Justice Accelerator program.
