New Neighbors Partnership welcomes refugees, asylees, and asylum seeking families by helping
them forge positive social connections with local families who can provide emotional,
informational, and concrete support as they resettle.
WellMet Philanthropy is supporting New Neighbors Clothing Partnership Program, which matches newly-arrived refugee families with local partner families who have older kids and can pass along high quality clothing hand-me-downs from season to season as their kids grow. Thanks to this generous grant, we will be able to serve newcomer families from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Haiti, and elsewhere, providing ongoing support during the resettlement process and connections to a grassroots community support network. With an unprecedented influx of refugees in New York City, WellMet's support is more needed than ever, to allow New Neighbors Partnership to provide a warm welcome to families who would not otherwise be able to receive services.
